I am so excited to collaborate with True Note Media Labs for my first professionally produced video! They needed help with their CLOSET OF DOOM and I was happy to oblige. I hope you get some inspiration if you have your own chaotic closet.
With a total budget of $100, we were able to transform their closet space using very simple and basic organizing tools that they can easily re-purpose as their business grows. Besides the items purchased from Target below, all I used was a sharpie, paper, and some rubber bands. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to get organized – you just need to get started.
The products we used:
Adjustable 5-Tier Wire Shelving Unit – Black – Room Essentials™
I chose this rack because the shelves are adjustable and it’s very sturdy (I use the same in my home except wider and in chrome). Additionally, it’s super affordable and can be easily be taken down and relocated to a garage or other storage facility if needed.
$49.99 from Target
Various sized Sterilite Clear Storage Tote – Clear with White Lid
I chose these Sterilite bins because they are affordable and the clear ones because it’s really important to be able to see what’s inside for True Note. That way, they can easily find what they need and get back to working with their clients in the studio. Being creative is what they do best and being organized allows them to focus on that!
From $0.94 to 6$6.99 from Target
I labeled the clear bins with a sharpie and piece of paper. For True Note, functionality took place over fanciness. My favorite moment was when 2 controllers fit perfectly into on of the low, wide bins! I love when things fit perfectly in place 🙂
We used post-it notes to help keep us organized as we sorted the wires into different categories and rubber bands to keep them wound up.
The frustrating closet they had been dreading dealing with for months was cleared up in 3 hours! Now they can get back to focusing on their business.
